CT Scan
CT scan uses a combination of X-rays and a computer to create pictures of the organs, bones and other tissues. It can show more details than a regular X-ray and it allows 3D reconstruction.Contrast media can be used to show any vascularized lesions or organs.
CT is very good at looking for asymmetry as it creates a 3D reconstruction of the whole area being scanned. It can show where cancers have spread, look at spinal cord lesions and provide detailed images of the nasal cavity and brain that is hard to achieve with other methods..
